Ms Arthie Moore - Fighting Injustice

I have been thinking about Human Rights for a while.

There are such amazing, eloquently written exerpts and guidelines of what entails having Human Rights. These are all created and ensconced in fantastic legal jargon that can be manipulated adhock depending on whose point of view it comes from.
The Human Rights Commissions also debate whether someone was offended or content or an event is offensive. These can range from living conditions, unfair work related issues, abusive words, racial slurs, undignified behaviour, physical abuse, inappropriate content, language, sexual innuendos etc.

Which is all fair, but have we missed the basic ideals of simplicity which is staring us in the face?
The basic right to be HUMAN?

When will we de-classify our arguments based on race, colour or religion?

When will we just be human?

At what point does reality set in, that this is all a facade? Yes, these guidelines are here to protect us as human beings. But what is being done to make sure that people are TREATED like a human being.

In South Africa, our very own government perpetuates hate speech by allowing the likes of some Ministers and representatives of the majority ruling party to liberally make statements demeaning a group of people based on the colour of their skin and our historical challenges.

Is it not our human right to address these issues head on and take on our Government who turns a blind eye to the obvious? The fact that they encourage mass hatred and anger towards one culture of people.

Racism is an adults disease which is perpetuated by our Government because it serves them to hold power over its people by virtue of manipulating their emotions. And let's face facts here, our country is a very community based, heart focussed, emotional country.

Fighting Injustice - Who and What will you stand up for?

In the wake of the recent events that is spurring Racist attacks, innuendos, looting and all round stupidity for unjustified behaviour, I find myself asking an important question! At what point did racism and injustice become an Exclusive Black and White issue.
Does this mean that only the colour of your skin is the reason for disgusting behaviour?

I think not! There is injustice towards MEN and WOMEN as well as CHILDREN! There is intolerance across cultures, language groups, religions, traditions, caste systems, age, gender, sexual orientation!
There is injustice towards gay, bisexual, transgender, lesbian and gender neutral people. There is injustice in Domestic Violence. There is injustice in poverty, lack of medical attention, lack of care.
There is injustice in Rape, murder, assault, physical, emotional, psychological abuse. There is injustice in adultery, men intimidating and bullying other men. Seriously....if you are going to loot a shop and justify your filthy behaviour then WAKE UP!
Social media has evolved! Use your VOICE for change, don't steal a TV, burn cars and buildings, steal liquor or appliances and bullshit that it appeased your unhappy soul. STAND UP and SPEAK UP for Injustices...don't demean it to nothing by justifying your stealing ways! Simple!
People are suffering in many ways! You are not unique in this struggle. People of ALL colours, live in fear for their lives. Wake up people!

Use Respect, thoughtfulness, care, love, support and understanding as the basis of your Words, Actions, thoughts and behaviour.

Celebrate and honour people as HUMAN BEINGS! Respect the hard work it takes to build a business and help grow it, don't destroy it!

Find your voice and express it through Social Media and Live interviews and teaching moments to enlighten people of the amazing traditions you and your family have. Include people and invite them into your home with the intention of sharing your culture and beliefs through Compassionate Conversations!

Choose awareness over prejudice, encouragement over bias, thoughtfulness over stereotyping and above all, challenge beliefs through respect!

You want to Vent? Then do it the right way!

After all, "At the Level of Respect, All People are Equal!" - A Moore
